Scot has worked in the Health and Fitness industry for the last 10 years. He has worked in Hotel Leisure Clubs as an Instructor, Private Health Clubs as a Personal Trainer and Health and Fitness Manager for Fitness First, Next Generation and David Lloyd. He has also worked in Corporate Fitness for Bladerunner as a Club Manager and Fitnut as an Advanced Instructor. He has also run a successful PT business in Leicester and Loughborough. He has taught at New College Stamford, Lincolnshire as a Sports Lecturer as well as the prestigious Loughborough University as a Specialist Lecturer and also athletics coach.He has coached numerous regional and local athletics squads in Bath, Loughborough, Leicester, London, Aberdeen and Inverurie.

Scot has numerous Scottish Caps for Athletics including all four throwing events; Discus, Shot Putt, Hammer and Javelin. He has represented, Scottish Schools at every age group, Scotland and every age group, Great Britain Under 20 and Under 23 (13 caps) as well as British Universities Athletics Team (2 Caps).
